The Anti-Gym

Hi Michael,

My husband, Brian and I just wanted to give you props for what you are doing at the Anti-Gym!

We joined the Anti-Gym because nothing was really working for us.  After we got married, we stopped working out and couldn't get motivated. We tried 24 Hr. Fitness, nothing.  I tried getting a trainer there, nothing.  My husband tried to start biking, nothing... well, you get the picture. After hearing the Anti-Gym commercials on the radio, we checked it out.

Brian and I learned so many new things from our consultant, it's been incredible.  We finally got our motivation back which was our #1 reason for joining.  The side effects though have been even better, both Brian and I got in a better shape (cardio mostly for him and strength for me).  We both lost weight and I lost an entire pant size!  In addition, the strangest thing happened and my nails have been stronger and growing better than ever. My hair stylist asked me what I was doing with my hair because it's healthier. I told her about the Anti-Gym and what we've learned about healthier eating and she said "yep, that will do it!".

It's just been fantastic all around. We highly recommend the Anti-Gym to anyone that wants to either get healthier, more motivation, to lose weight or build muscle!
Thank you Michael for coming up with the Anti-gym!

Andrea & Brian

My life has really changed since joining the Anti-gym and working out with you. Typically, at this point in the semester, being completely overwhelmed with school and multiple group projects, work requiring over time and the days being stressful and unfulfilling, and dealing with family/friend issues (grandpa in Missouri is going to die of pancreatic cancer any day now and a few other friends are in health/personal crisis)---I'm generally a total f-ing mess----extremely depressed, FAT as hell, eating like SHIT *ALL OF THE TIME*, etc etc etc.

While I am still extremely stressed out and anxious and wondering how to hang in there, I find that I am so much more focused and capable of handling myself, eating habits, and managing my energy and moods. Working out so damn hard at the gym is the highlight of my days. On off days my body craves the ass kicking, and I am excited to one day soon (Nov 7 school is out for the holidays) oblige it and start an intense cardio workout on off days.

So, thank you for being an awesome consultant, for pushing me, for getting on my ass about my diet. It's really helped me realize how much I rely on excuses and rationalization (in ALL areas of my life), and how damaging that trait is to my long term goals and amount of success I can achieve.

I appreciate you more than you know.

Dear “Iron Mike,”

I walked into the Anti-Gym on February 10th, pushing 240 pounds and wearing a size 20 pant. I heard your commercials and also listened to your guest appearance on the “Dom and Jane” show. I have to admit you were talking directly to me.

I am now happy to report – one month later – I am down 15 pounds and wearing a size 16 pant! How WONDERFUL is that! Carlos has been a HUGE help from day one, and has encouraged me every step of the way. I love the fact that he is in my face yelling: “STEP IT UP! DON”T QUIT! WHAT WAS THAT? 30 MORE SECONDS!” He calls me, e-mails me, reviews my meals… I LOVE CARLOS! My butt doesn’t jiggle as much, and my lunch lady arms are getting stronger.

I realize that I have a long way to go, but with Carlos by my side, I am going to do it this time. This has been money well spent – I think I used to spend close to $400.00 a month just on donuts, cakes and pies!

Hard work and eating right is truly the answer. Thanks so much for everything. Thanks for no B.S., no promises that I could lose weight by sitting on my fat butt and taking a pill. From the start, Rob told me it would be hard work.

I also want to say GOODBYE to the following clubs/products I have wasted my money on:

• Lady Fitness (I got FATTER! Worked at a really slow pace.)
• Weight Watchers (Heard a lot of fat women blaming steroids in their meat for making them FAT!)
• Herbal Life (Liquid food wasn’t the answer.)
• Atkins Diet (I cannot eat another piece of bacon, ever!)
• Pills (You name it, I have taken it! Still fat!)
• Laxatives (College life)
• 24 Hour Fitness, or as you say, “24 Hour Fatness”
• Curves (I could shower and do my hair before my workout.)
• Rec. Center (They try, but they have untrained staff members.)
• NutriSystem (Expensive astronaut food is not the answer!)

Thank you, Mike and Carlos! You’re the BEST! Keep yelling, keep getting in everyone’s faces, and if they can’t stand the heat, then let them stay fat and enjoy a big fat muffin! This is one happy client!

Hi Michael,

I saw you on Channel 7 last night- I know you hear a lot from people who disagree with you, so I wanted to drop you a note to say keep up the good work. Your passion for fitness is remarkable and I am glad you are reaching out to parents to encourage them to provide a healthy lifestyle for their children. I have two children, ages 9 and 7, who eat the Anti-Gym meal plan and absolutely love it!! We are a busy family and before your guidance would often eat out after a long day @ work and school- now we head home and broil fish and steam broccoli. Sugar cereals have been replaced with egg whites and turkey bacon. We pack lunch for the kids every day now, instead of letting them eat pizza and chicken nuggets in the school cafeteria. The evidence of this change in our family was confirmed last night when I was helping my daughter with her homework, which required her to bring in something for show and tell that represented why her family was special- she choose broccoli, because 'her family eats healthy'.

This is the beginning of my 4th month at the Anti-Gym and being a part of your gym has been a truly improved my life. Not only an improvement in my physical fitness, but mental as well- just as you promised! Thanks for the change you have brought to me and my family, the support you and Scott provide is invaluable to me.

Thanks!

Hi Michael,

Just read your article in Mile High Sports Magazine.

Wow. After reading that I am frustrated with some of the emails that have been written to you and I am motivated with your strength to get through some of your challenging days. I have only heard minimal amounts of your advertising campaign and I must say they add humor to my day!

What I would like to comment on is your drive and passion you have for your business and your customers. I truly admire your determination. Since I have been coming to see you, my mental and physical health has improved drastically. Not to mention I am hitting the golf ball about 15 yards further off the tee!

Some may say your crass disposition is destroying society. You know they are wrong and I know they are wrong. Commenting on the person from the National Eating Disorder Board, I believe your technique may help these ladies suffering from this horrible disease. I believe this because my mother suffered from Bulimia and Alcoholism for over 30 years and eventually died because she lost all control. If she could have only had 1 ounce of strength that you drive into your clients on a daily basis I guarantee she would be as alive and well as she was when she was an Olympic figure skater and Homecoming Queen.

Michael, keep up the fight. You know what champions are made of and I guarantee champions will come to you and find humor along the way. Stay strong, as you know, it can get lonely at the top.

Hey Michael, just got home and read your article in Mile High, I thought it was great ! You know I've spent most of my life worrying about what other people think. You've got it right, too bad it took me turning 50 to realize this. Way to go..... I've lost 8 pounds in 34 days, I love my work outs, The Anti-Gym is just what I needed.

Thanks, Janet Brown
( was I supposed to eat that cupcake you threw at me this morning?)

As a physician, one of the most difficult aspects is trying to get patients to make lifestyle changes. The Anti-Gym offers a revolutionary approach: instead of asking clients to make unreasonable sacrifices in their diets and life, The Anti-Gym incorporates a physician-approved, balanced diet that includes carbohydrates, moderate alcohol, and even dessert, along with a training system that takes fitness to a whole new level. Clients are taught to be accountable and are monitored regularly through weight checks and body fat testing. As a client and a physician, I have seen first-hand how The Anti-Gym provides a safe and effective method for weight loss. I highly recommend it to all of my patients.
